IUI - Intrauterine Insemination

IUI - Intrauterine Insemination

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) is often used as a less invasive and less expensive fertility treatment compared to IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). However, it is sometimes a step before considering IVF, depending on the couple's medical history and fertility issues.

Procedure: Sperm is directly placed into the uterus using a catheter, increasing the chances of fertilization by bringing sperm closer to the egg.

When It’s Used:

  • Unexplained infertility
  • Mild male factor infertility (low sperm count or motility)
  • Cervical mucus issues
  • Ovulation issues (may be combined with medications to stimulate ovulation)
